First State BMX has adopted a family for the holiday season. There is a tree located in registration with tags. These tags list the person whom you are purchasing a gift for and what they would like to have. We are asking that anyone wanting to help purchase the gift and return it unwrapped to registration no later than our last race Dec. 12, 2009. If anyone is interested in helping out and giving a needing family a great Christmas please see us at registration or email us for more details. Thank you all very much for your help making this successful.

Welcome to firststatebmx.com v5.0
I have been working on a new layout for the website off and on for a few weeks. I have had requests in the past to make it more simple and easier to read. I have also had complaints that it is to hard to find information. Taking this into consideration and my knack for making things efficient I came up with the design you see now...simple, straight forward, and extremely easy to use. The users are imediately presented with the new home page which has one thing and one thing only in the content area, the current news. I am able to make updates to this section at any time, from any computer connected to the web or from my cell phone. This will allow news to be posted much faster. Also people will be able to post comments to the posted news. New to the website is the new section for rider of the month which you may see me put up "dummy" formats over the next few months to decide how it will be layed out. Also new is the social link on the side navigation bar. Clicking on this link will take you to the First State BMX fan page on Facebook. In the past we have had many problems with the various forums we have tried so the social aspect of the website has now moved to Facebook. This means there is next to no need for moderation as it is handled by Facebook which will benefit all users.
Do not forget, riders, if you would like pictures posted in the photo section simply send me an e-mail and I will explain what you need to do to get your own section in the photos.
If anyone has any questions or comments regarding the website or anything BMX send me an e-mail @ kyle@firststatebmx.com.
Sorry this post was so long winded but I wanted to explain the reason for the format change. In the future, posts will be very brief and sometimes no more than a few words.
Hope everyone likes the new design...either way leave a comment and let me know what you think.
